TDP Copyright Agreements (or how do we both protect and share these great ideas)

Thanks Dad Photos (TDP) holds a community building copyright on their competitions, exhibitions and activities so all Australians may benefit from access to stronger positive relationships with dads and significant male carers.

You are encouraged to use, copy, adapt or incorporate Thanks Dad Photos ideas into your own programs, activities or relationships at home, school, church, shopping centre, community organisation or business as long as you agree to the following. Contact us for details on how we can work well together for mutual benefit.

  1. These activities will be only used to strengthen positive relationships with dads and significant male carers.
  2. Thanks Dad Photos.org is acknowledged in writing or when speaking as a source for your ideas.
  3. TDP to continue to have sole control of the existing TDP (formerly Fathers Day) National Competition and Exhibition. Individuals or organisations with written agreements from TDP to run local, regional or special interest group TDP competitions and exhibitions will allow their entries to be automatically entered in the national competition and exhibition.
  4. Thanks Dad Photos logo and name will only be used with a written permission.
  5. Written permission will be arranged before using any TDP website or publicity photos. Copyright for all photos remains with each photographer. TDP only has permission to use their photos for publicity and activities associated with TDP. We can arrange for you to get the photographer’s permission for you to use photos for your own purposes.
  6. A financial contribution will be made to Thanks Dad Photos (a non profit community building initiative) if you are generating income or using these activities as part of your professional paid employment. Your and or your organization may make this financial contribution. Your contribution may be tax-deductible. Ask for a receipt.   7. You agree to provide feedback to TDP on how it worked for you so we can grow and learn for the good of the whole community, unless there is a written agreement that excludes giving feedback.

You are welcome to use the Thanks Dad Photos name for local, regional and special interest area competitions and exhibitions. [Contact us for approval]

This community building copyright agreement is designed to similtaneously protect the intellectual property of Thanks Dad Photos, generate some income for this non profit organisation to continue this vital community work, while at the same time making these ideas accessible to all Australians whatever their income and background.
